Dr. Smith earned both his Bachelor of General Studies and Doctor of Dental Surgery degrees from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. He continued his training through an externship at the University of Michigan Hospital, where he received the Oral Pathology Award in recognition of his outstanding clinical performance.

After completing his studies, Dr. Smith served his country as an officer in the U.S. Navy, where he achieved the rank of Lieutenant Commander. During his General Practice Residency at Bethesda Naval Hospital in Maryland, he trained with leading dental specialists and provided comprehensive care for Navy personnel and their families in locations around the world.

Today, Dr. Smith brings that same level of dedication and professionalism to every patient he treats. He combines advanced knowledge with a gentle, personalized approach, ensuring each patient receives the highest standard of care.

Outside of dentistry, Dr. Smith lives in Clarkston, Michigan with his wife Tanya and their dog Frank. He enjoys spending time with his family and playing competitive rounds of golf with friends.
